Hello

I love sketch challenges and I found this great sketch at the challenge blog My Creative Sketches.

I can't believe I haven't found their blog before but now I have; I'll be following them and hopefully joining in with a few more challenges.
My daughter Amy seems to be the focus of my photos lately☺︎. These were taken on a family and friend day out,
I am going through my paper pads, trying to use them up and for this page I used the paper pad from  My Minds Eye-The Sweetest Thing. I distressed the edges like I usually do, but for this page I also inked the edges to create a bit more of a distressed look.
Lots of paper flowers and a bit of bling to top of a girly page☺︎.

Imagine

A promised, I'm back with another layout, after I found this fun challenge at Scrap Your Stash.
A sketch and an element guide using a bingo card.
I used the line with paper clip, Doily, Glitter, Journal card and metal,

I am trying to go through all my craft products, including when I sew, which is actually quite liberating☺︎. This sketch was perfect for using up some of my paper pads and the strips are from the top of the papers. My title is a die cut which I used with glitter paper.

Thank you for popping by and I'll see you soon as I have another layout I am just finishing☺︎.

Family is the greatest gift

Hello,

I seem to have a thing for scrapbooking in the second half of the month☺︎.
I've been looking around for a few different challenges than I normally join in and came across Scrapping around the World. I love their mood board this month

and created this page for their challenge,
When I think of Christmas, I think of family. We don't celebrate with presents and commercial items but with God and family. I had these family photos taken and love this one of my 4 kids.
For the page I water coloured the background first and gessoed over some wood patterned paper which I used to back my photo. These cute little beach houses have been sitting in my paper stash for years now and I straight away thought of them when I saw the mood board. So good to use them up.
My canvas bunting I misted and added natural twine to tie together.

Thanks you for popping past and I hope to back soon with another page for you☺︎

Parents

Wow, second last month of the year, that's a little bit scary. I had a nice surprise of winning a challenge and coming top 3 in another last month which is always a nice extra little bonus of scrapbooking☺︎.
Today I have my DT page for ARTastic Challenge Blog, flowers are the criteria this month, using this painting for inspiration,

I have made my page using bought and handmade flowers, using the colours of the painting as my palette.
This photo is of my parents which is special to me as they are now getting older and my Dad has Alzheimers. He is hard to take photos off, always has been which makes these extra special. I have kept the paper fairly simple and let the flowers be the focus.

I used punches, die cuts for my handmade flowers.

If you have time this month, we would love you to pop over to ARTastic and join in with our challenge☺︎.
