Salmon Fishing

Getting a page in quickly before the end of the month. A page for the challenge at 123 challenge blog, which is using these 3 criterias;

I scrapped a photo of my husband and eldest, at one of our beautiful local beaches, beginning of winter, fishing for salmon. We love spending time at the beach as a family and each season brings it beauty.☺︎
I went with a simple background of modelling paste and mist and then with black pen drew in some squares to tie the journalling words together. A mix of papers to back my photos with a pop of colour with a red peg.

Thanks for coming past and I'll see you in a few days time with a new challenge page ☺︎

Best friends

Hello,

I can't believe we're half way August already. All my best intentions to scrapbook this month has been out the window so far. But I managed to complete a page for the scrapbook challenge at Scrap The Girls  using this wonderful mood board;

And this is my page and how I used the mood board,
I've water coloured the background and also coloured some modelling paste with mist, and then used it with a chevron stencil. I used a nature photo to reflect the leaves in the mood board and also the beads inspired me to use beads in my cluster along with sequins on my page. I've used a photo overlay for this page, I have had them for so long but never know when to use them. I love the effect it has on this photo.

Close up my little cluster showing the use of beads and sequins.

Hopefully the second part of the month will provide me with more opportunities to get to my craft room☺︎

Sisters

Hello and welcome to August. For me it's the last month of winter and I'm looking forward to the days becoming longer especially in the morning.
As usual my first post for the month is my DT page for ARTastic.
It's a fun inspiration painting this month and can be used in so many ways as we have found out as DT.
The criteria is to use black pen on your page.

For my page I went with the inspiration of the girls enjoying themselves outside,
 I loved the bold colours of the painting so did the same on my page also going with a little bit of a vintage feel. I used black pen for my background circles, the corner borders and also to colour the chipboard word sweet and the arrow.

A close up of my cluster with the sweet crochet flower. I like to bring my other crafts to my scrapbooking so that the kids will see a bit of me in their albums.

Hopefully August will bring some scrapbooking time and I'll see you soon.
