Heart of Gold

Hello, I am here with a page I did for White with One challenge using white and gold.

This is a photo of my eldest girl who has so much time for her brother and sisters. She is a beautiful teenager and friend to me. For this page I have used a gold background and used gesso and background stamps to create the white paint areas. I've even managed to use the word Gold in my title☺.

My white homemade crochet flower with a glittery gold centre. I have also used a doily to frame the corner of the photo.

I'm enjoying my work managing the local craft shop and have resisted the temptation of coming home with lots of goodies☺. One more week to go. I hope you are all doing well and thank you to my new followers for your comments and interest in my blog.
Wishing you all well.

My Girl

Welcome to the month of May. I love May, it has a pretty name☺ and here where I live, it's the month to enjoy the last warmish days before winter. This year, May will be even more exciting as I will be looking after a local craft shop for 2 weeks while the owner goes on holidays. I better watch I don't spend more than I earn☺.
To start May, I have my DT page for ARTastic to share. I so love the inspiration painting this month. A painting by Robert Hagan titled Amarys.
The criteria for the ARTastic challenge is mother and child as May includes Mother's day☺

My page is of my beautiful girl Amy and I enjoying some time together at the park.
I love all the green in the painting and used misting by spraying and splattering to create it on my page. I also splattered red drops to show flowers amongst the grass.

I texture painted some flowers on both before and after misting which gives two different effects. I have created different flowers around my photo, lollipop flowers, purchased flowers and

flowers by fussy cutting them out of paper.

This page is hanging on my wall as it's one that appeals to me every time I look at it and the photo is precious to me. I love it when a page turns out like that.

I look forward to seeing everyone's pages for this months challenge.
