Carefree

Hello,
today I am back to share with you a page I made for the challenge at 123 Challenge Blog.

These are colours I wouldn't normally use together, actually I hardly ever use orange, but it was fun to go out of my normal colour scheme and I was surprised how quickly it came together.

I have included the words you and beautiful in my feature journalling. I used paper as my background which I hand stitched around to create the lines from the sketch. Flowers, circles and some crocheting, all to create a fun and bright page, to portray exactly how my youngest is!😊

Thank you for popping by, and happy scrapping.

Cool Memories

Hello,

I have made a page for sketch challenge at Scrap the Boys challenge blog.

Water colour paint background with stamping and for the circle element of the sketch, I did it in pen and added some arrows.  My arrows and stars are wooden elements bringing some fun to the page. I find boy embellishments that bit harder than embellies for girl pages.

Thanks for popping by☺︎

Exploring

I'm going through my big stack of photos and have committed to scrapping them, instead of always grabbing the recent photos and hopefully I'll get through them sooner or later ☺︎. With 4 children, it might take a while!

This page is for the challenge at Stuck?! Sketches.

My page;
I've gone with a very simple background of just mist splatters. I'm enjoying creating pages with lots of white space☺︎. It was a great page to use up some scraps of my papers and some little embellishments.

Thanks for popping by and wishing you happy scrapping times☺︎.

Long Time Friends

Hello,

I am back for October with my DT page for ARTastic Challenge Blog. We would love to see more of your creative inspiration for our challenges, so please consider joining in☺︎.
This month the theme is friendships using this summery painting for inspiration,

For my page, I was inspired to use the light summery feel and scrapped a photo of my youngest with her friend who have long grown up with their friendship still strong and special to each other.
A few splatters of mist for my background, keeping it simple and then a number of cute embellishments. Some times I like to use less paper and more embellishments. I find paper doilies are a great way to fill in an empty space or to back embellishments.

I have been busy creating some more pages as I have my scrapbook mojo back and with more time on my hands than usual as all my children are away and busy these school holidays☺︎.
I look forward to sharing some of these pages over the next few days/weeks.

Fun in the Sun

Hello and here in Australia, we welcome Spring. My favourite season, when the blossoms grow, the birds come back out of hiding to start singing again and especially nice, is the sun appearing more and more.
Today I have my DT page for ARTastic Challenge Blog to share,

This is the inspiration painting and the criteria is to include paint on your page,

For my page I went with the beach theme and the gorgeous bright colours,
I love using water colour for my background and I've used it today to create the water look behind my photo. I first paint a piece of clear acrylic and then rub it onto my page. Painting on acrylic first makes it easier to see if I like the look first before it goes down. For this page, I have also used modelling paint with a cross stencil and then misted some yellow over top.

My embellishments come from a D-lish embellishment kit, which make it so easy to put a page together.

Thank you for popping by and please head over to ARTastic and show your support☺︎

Sisters

Hello,

I'm starting this month with my DT page for ARTastic which has this painting for inspiration along with the theme of using Black and White and one other colour.

My page;

I mixed ink with gesso and then used a circle stencil to create my circle background. I also then added some stamping. Lots of elements to create the feeling of the photo being surrounded as the faces are 'surrounded' in the painting.

Thank you for popping past and I welcome you to join in the challenge at ARTastic this month. We would love to see your creations.

Off to Tafe

Hello,
Well, I'm very excited to be able to bring you a scrapbook page today because it is the first one that I have done from my new craft room!! So happy to have my own space; well I also allowed a TV in the room because I do love having my husband and children's company too😊.

So here is my page for White with One;
The colour for this month's challenge is Lavender Lane. I usually go for the white background but this colour card stock was perfect for the challenge and I wanted to do something different. I used gesso for my stencil flower and to add some 'splatters' as background.
I stamped and fussy cut a love heart for an embellishment along with some other fun embellishments.

Thanks for popping by.

Sisters

Hello,

I am happy to bring you a page I did for the challenge at Scrap the Girls, using this challenge board;

My page;
I used the blue as my main colour and added in bronze/orange elements. I also used the lines of the challenge board to help create the layout of my page and the images for my background stamping.
The washi tape create my lines of my layout. I thought it might be challenging using this mood board but it was easier than it looked. I'm happy how this page turned out.

Thanks for popping by.

The Boys

Hello, and welcome to the second half of the year.
Winter has set in here, in the South West of Australia, a month later than normal. So time to bunker down and stay indoors a bit more ☺︎.
Today I'm sharing with you my DT page for ARTastic Challenge Blog. The criteria was to use pen with this painting as inspiration,

My Page,
I used pen for the strips in my background, I was happy how it turned out. I added watercolour using the orange from the inspiration piece. I also added in the blue with my papers. The photo lended itself, so I kept the page simple.

It was fun to use pen and it's been interesting how the ARTastic team have used it differently on  their page.

Love Who You Are

Yay,
I managed to get a page done this month. I just had to join in the challenge at 123 Scrapbook Challenge ; just managed to squeeze it in☺︎.

I love this photo of my 2 youngest girls. They can't do without each other and I enjoy scrapbooking their sisterly love. The love hearts I personally crocheted, it makes me happy to include my homemade embellishments, for the girls to see later in their albums.

Close up of the 3 criteria for this challenge, Love, White and Bling.

Thanks for popping by ☺︎

Imagine

Hi All,
Sorry for being missing in the scrapbooking world last month. We had a busy month as a family and a lot to deal with, so I had to put my scrapbooking on hold. But hopefully we are back up where we should be and you'll see me around again☺︎.
This month, I'm starting off with my DT page for ARTastic Challenge Blog, which is using vintage AND OR children, with this painting for inspiration,

I went with using children, as in my 2 daughters, with a touch of vintage,
I've kept the background plain and kept my elements close to my photo, to frame it. I love using doilies in vintage layouts, here I've used crochet doilies and a paper doily.  I couldn't resist adding a kite to my page, inspired by the kite on the painting. It adds a fun element to the page.

We would love to see your take on this fun challenge, so hop over to ARTastic and join in☺︎.
Thanks for popping by.

The Boys

Hello and welcome April.
A busy month here, as we celebrate birthdays and enjoy school holidays.
I start the month with my DT page for the Artistic Challenge Blog.
A beautiful challenge to remember our Anzac day which we have on April 25th, the criteria this month is pops of red.

I scrapped a photo of my husband and son, as each year, I am thankful, I have them by my side and the freedom we share as a family. I can't even imagine what it was like for the mothers, wives and siblings to say goodbye to the men as they headed off to war.
My background was created with a Kaiser craft brick stencil and modelling paste. Once it was dry, I brushed water colour over it. Then I also used some background stamping.  My colours were inspired by the painting with the strip of grey hill and then the red flowers.
Washi tape brought this layout together for me☺︎.

Wishing you a blessed April and I would love to see your creations up on ARTastic this month.

Cool Girl

Hello again,

I am enjoying some different challenges this month and one of them is from Colorful Creations, which had a colour combo with the extra twist of using ink.

My page,
I kept this page simple as I wanted the photo to shine. I love the blue/greens and how they came up on my page. I used ink to splatter on the background and I've also water-coloured circles using a stencil.

This colour combo gave me a good excuse to go and buy some flowers☺︎. These ones are from Kaiser craft, put together with a die-cut.

Thank you Colorful Creations for a great challenge.

You are Beautiful

Hello,

I enjoyed some scrapbooking time, outside, this afternoon on the patio, making most of the Autumn sun☺︎.
I've been meaning to join in the challenge blog White with One for a while now. So I committed myself this month to join in.  This month the colour is Orange Peel.

I splattered water colour paint to create a subtle background and a small amount of gesso at the corners of the photo. I also water painted paper doilies, a technique I might use more often now I see how effective they end up☺︎. My title is a stamp from Heidi Swapp, a little purchase I made today! I think it will become my favourite stamp set.

A close up of my doilies and some embellishments I used.

I hardly ever work with orange and so it was a bit of a challenge for me, but one I'm pleased to have done. I think I might use orange more often☺︎.

Hugs and Kisses

Hello,
Doing a page seems to take me longer now I have teenagers and I've become their taxi! Feels like I'm always out and about and don't have long stints of time. But I managed to do a page for the challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking which have a beautiful moodboard, one after my own heart as I also love to sew☺︎.
I went with the colours of the threads for my page,
My background was created by first spraying my paper with water and then I sprayed it with mist ink. Holding the paper up, I let it run down my page. The more water you use, the more it will run. I also then added some splatters of ink. I hand stitched the love hearts on the side and also added some coloured doilies and pink lace to add to the sewing theme.

Close up of my cluster of flowers, perfect for a pretty girl's page☺︎.

Thank you for popping by.

Selfie

Hello☺︎,
It finally feels like we've settled into the new year and things are slowing down. Yay for that.
I've had time to do a page this month for the challenge at Scrap the Girls which is to scrap a selfie photo. I've had a photo of my daughter and I, for a while on my photos to scrap pile, so it was a perfect challenge.
My page,
My background was created using stamping, water colour and rub ons. I used a paper pad to add layers behind my photo. They are so handy, cause all the papers are nicely co-ordinated. My embellishments are from a kit from D-lish Scraps.

I enjoyed putting this page together and thankful for the close bond I have with my daughter.

Brother and Sister

Hello and welcome to March.
It's been a very warm and humid start here to the month, so not much energy to do anything except scrapbooking☺︎.
Today I've got my DT page for you for the challenge at ARTastic.
Use this painting as your inspiration along with the criteria of using a stencil.

My page is of my Eldest daughter and son in a rare embrace, well sort off!
I have used stencils with texture paint, gesso and pen to create my background along with water colour. I followed a vertical line, inspired by the painting. My embellishments are from a D-lish Scraps embellishment pack.

Last month we had some beautiful entries for the ARTastic challenge but we would love to see more. If you have time this month, please feel free to join in☺︎.

Proud moment

Hello,
I actually managed to do another scrapbook page this month☺︎.
I have joined in with the challenge over at Scrap The Boys, which had the theme of something new.
My page is of my son who was honoured to hold our friend's baby for baptism. He got a new outfit for the day and was a proud boy.

I have got my sketch off pinterest, yay for pinterest☺︎. I used a paper collection I've had for a while which worked perfectly for the colours. I love being able to use something I've been waiting to use for a while.

Thank you Scrap The Boys for a fun challenge☺︎.

Snap shot

Hello,
The house is quiet again, there is a routine back in place; our summer break is over and the kids are back at school. As much as I love holidays, I do love my routine back in place☺︎.
I start this month off with my DT page for ARTastic with this pretty painting as the challenge inspiration, with the criteria of using butterflies.

I love using butterflies on my pages so the criteria was easy☺︎,
I loved the colours in the painting and knew I wanted to use them, I also wanted to bring in the joyful but mystical feel that I get from the painting. I kept my page simple with a lot of white space and 'quiet' embellishments. For my background paper, I used a page out of a paper pad and kept it whole.

I hope you enjoyed my page and please hop over to ARTastic to see the other team's take on this challenge. We would love to see your creations♡.

Tough Kid

Hello and Happy New Year for 2017! I am late with my post for ARTastic this month as we have been away on a camping trip as family for our summer break. Amazing beaches and beautiful weather were the main part of our trip and hopefully I'll be scrapping some photos soon☺︎.

Now for my DT post for ARTastic this month, inspired by this painting and using the criteria of city theme.

I actually didn't have any city photos! But my son had been on an excursion to our capital city of Perth and his teacher took these photos of him. 3 Photos which he combined into one. Very clever.

I loved the 'tough' look and the graffiti of the photo so I went on with this in my background. Lots of background stamping and a bit of watercolour. Metal embellishments along with tags are always great for a male page.

There is still time to join in with our challenge, we would love to see how you are inspired☺︎.
