Sister bond

I'm squeezing one more LO in for the month and this one is for the challenge over at Artastic which is a LO inspired by a painting and consisting of the 3 following requirements:
Diva Demand for an extra 6 bonus points.
1. Red Heart/s = 1pt
2. Black and white photo = 2pts
3. Red monochromatic layout .. with a touch of green! = 3pts


I had this photo of my 3 daughters which suited this challenge perfectly.

 I have sponged inked a paper doily for the background and used papers from October Afternoon.  I printed the quote onto one of the October Afternoon papers that comes with the paper pad. Made for a quick and easy tag. I've added my red heart to the cluster of tags

 My little homemade crochet trim which has been waiting for the right page.

My touch of green is the punched flower in the corner, with some paper flowers and a butterfly I cut out from some patterned paper.

February is nearly over so I'm looking forward to a new month of challenges. At least there is one nice thing of time going so fast ☺.

Little Mummies

It's pretty busy here this time of the year with grape harvesting and so hubby is out all hours and catching up with sleep the rest of the day, so once the kids are in bed I have 'me' time. This always involves scrapping time and I have done a LO with the rest of the photos from my previous post of Ella playing with her doll. These 2 photos are also of Amy who has taught Ella to play and talk!

I did this LO for the challenge over at 123 February the challenge being:

Great for a girly page

I wanted to make a LO which was fun and full of bits and pieces as that is what the girls do when they play dolls, lots of mess and fun. I have placed my journalling through-out my LO.

I used fraying to make a homemade fabric flower. I machined stitched a love heart in the middle and added a sparklet from Kaiser craft. I love how it turned out.

I added a fabric frill just to cover more of the criteria ☺. 

It's fun listening to these girls playing except when I hear myself talking when they talk to their dolls. I have to watch what I say. 

Special love

Amy and Ella love playing dolls, in fact that is all they play! They dress up, and take their dolls out and about.
I did a series of photos of Ella playing with her doll outside and did a LO for Scrap the Girls. The challenge consists of 3 requirements:

LOVE in the TITLE

TURQUOISE as the DOMINANT COLOUR and

CHIPBOARD

I have used turquoise doilies to make a pretty edge and have placed my photos in a line to create the series of Ella getting organized.

Another cluster for another LO ☺. My big flower is chipboard which I have covered with patterned paper, added it onto a paper doily with some more flowers, tag and twine. 

I have used more chipboard with this love heart. I had this gorgeous little wooden girl in my cupboard waiting for the right LO.

A title which so true, Ella shows so much love to her dolls;it's beautiful to see.

Motor bike fun

Wow another LO for the week, this morning I sat at my craft desk and enjoyed the sun coming in through the window, a beautiful peaceful morning.
Ella loves going for rides on the motorbike and would run to the bike every morning for a ride.
I did this LO for the challenge over at Sketches with a Twist which was a sketch with the twist to use something green.

Ella was always intent on waving before she went for a ride. I have used a number of papers I have had for a while. I used a rosette flower I got from my friend and a prima flower and some chipboard flowers from Stuff2Scrap which I have sponge inked.

My something green, a crocheted doily. I have done a love heart banner and used a clothing tag along with some paper flowers and a journalling tag.

I have a quiet weekend at home planned so hopefully I'll be back soon.

Timeless Moments

I love these photos of Kyle taking time out by climbing a tree while we were on an outing. I did this LO for the challenge over at Once Upon A Sketch which was a sketch with the journalling about a male in your life and love.

I have sanded the brown background paper and distressed the pattern papers to give it the rough look for a boys page. I backed the photos to make them stand out from the background and added embellishments around the photos.

I used doilies, a stamp and the boy cutout from Kaiser craft, and a homemade button for my cluster. I'm not allowed to use flowers from Kyle because they are for girls, so I use buttons, cutouts and stamping in his LOs.

My title is a rub on I got from a local discount store, and I used computer journalling to tell the story. 


Another LO for the month, it's so nice to get back into Scrapbooking again.

Fishing

It seems all my best intentions of scrapping went out the window every day. I did spend the last week of holidays sewing and crocheting with my kids which was also very enjoyable so I can't complain.
The kids are back to school and my 3rd daughter started pre-school so I am down to one child at home 3 days a week which is very quiet but also allows lots of time to enjoy one on one with my 4th.

I chose to start the month with the challenge at Get Picky which was a holiday photo inspiration and and extra criteria of at least 4 photos.
My LO is of Kyle's holidays which involved lots of fishing.

My pattern papers are from the Bo Bunny-Barefoot and Bliss Collection. Love these papers. For my background I first 'splot' painted with dark blue and white.

My hand made crochet circle, with chipboard button and tag. I also sponged some ink on my banner and added a sticker backed onto chipboard.

A card stamp and kaiser craft brad. These 2 boys got on so well and enjoyed each others company when we spent our week in Albany, it was great.

I love so many of the challenges out there this month so with routine back hopefully I can get to do some of them. Till then, happy crafting.

Family photos

My brother took beautiful family photos for us and I am slowly putting a scrapbook album together of them for on the coffee table. The challenge over at Scrap the Girls gave me inspiration to do a page in my book of my eldest daughter. The LO had to be monochromatic.
I went with pinks to match Justine's shirt.

I first glimmer misted the background with a chicken wire look, then added several papers behind the photos. The lamp stamp is from Kaiser craft. I love their new stamps. I have kept it fairly simple as it is in a book and it can't be to thick, plus by keeping it simple, I'll hopefully be able to scrap the photos quicker.
I like how flowers and buttons and tags can lift a page without it being too cluttered.
