Beauty

I have my scrapbooking time and mojo back; yay.
As promised tonight I have another scrapbook page, this one for the challenge at Let's Get Shabby, with a picture for inspiration

I loved the elegance this picture portrayed and straight away thought of my daughter's photo, which was perfect since she was looking the same way as the lady in the picture and just as pretty, although I might be a little biased☺.

I based my layout on the picture too with the photo down the bottom and of course, the colours were inspiring too.

My prima flower cluster and a doily to add a little bit of vintage to the page.

These flowers are made from a new punch I got, which I layered in 3 lots. This punch will be used a lot I think, cause I love how they turned out.

Off to do a DT page which I can't reveal yet and then to find another challenge to join. It is so nice to be back at my craft desk.

Feeling Sketchy challenge

I'm back today with another card completed, this time for the challenge at Feeling Sketchy.
A card for a little girl,
I water coloured this image using my stamping inks and a water pen.

I will be back later today with another scrapbook page I have finished.☺

Just add ink challenge

Hi all, I'm back tonight with a card to share that I made for the challenge at Just Add Ink.

I loved the colour scheme for this challenge and it's amazing the different 'feelings' these colours give. I went for a vintage, romantic feel because my card was for an engagement.

This birdcage came in a pack of 3 and I couldn't resist them. Prima flower and a crochet doily finish off my little embellishment cluster. The frame is from a local discount store which has sadly closed down now.

I have a few cards to make since in our church we have had the addition of 6 new babies! I haven't made cards for a while so it's fun getting back to it.

That's all from me for now, till next time, happy crafting.

Growing up

Hi there,

I gave my craft desk a good clean and it has inspired me to get busy scrapping again. I also find the last term of school brings a little bit less homework for the kids and so frees my nights up a bit. Hopefully my new energy and time will continue☺.
I have done a page for the sketch challenge at Scrap the Girls.

I enjoy sketch challenges cause they provide me with a good starting point. This sketch I reversed to suit my page.

My sister-in-law 'borrowed' my daughter for some photo shots, and never shy in front of the camera, my girl jumped at the idea.

I have used a transparency for this page. I had this bike one in my stash for ages, but like always was waiting for the right photo☺. For my papers I have chosen mostly from the paper range My Mind's eye-the sweetest thing.

Love these prima flowers, and they were perfect for my little cluster.

Hope you have enjoyed my page and thank you for your patience while I was uninspired☺

Winter Beach Visit

Eeek it's November already. I'm sure everyone is saying the same thing☺.
It is always nice at the beginning of the month to see what challenges there will be. For ARTastic this month we have a fun challenge of Doodling with this cute painting, by Antje Collis, for inspiration,

I used a photo of my girl enjoying a winter run along the beach,

I bought a new stencil called puddles which I used for my background, both misting and using modelling paint with it. I used the colours of the inspiration painting for my page. I couldn't go past using burlap seeing it's a beach page. We live close to the beach, so there are always shells laying around, so I added some to my page ☺.

Some cute little wooden clouds and the requirement of doodling which I also done as a border around my page.

This challenge was lots of fun and I hope you find time to join in with us this month.

Sweet forever

Hi there,

I have a page ready for the 123 Challenge for October. The colour is Apricot; Word is Forever; and the Technique is Swirls.

I have used the paper range Kaiser Craft-Spring Bloom, a beautiful range of bright apricots, aquas and lime greens. I used strips of paper to create a background for the photo.

I have used swirls in my tree which is surrounded with my flower cluster.

Our youngest is really our sweet girl, very easy going, and lots of fun.

It was so good to sit down and scrap again. I plan to get to my craft desk for scrapbooking a lot more.

Take care and I hope you have/had an enjoyable day.

Live, Dream

Hi there,

It's been very quiet on here on my blog because my computer charger decided to give up and I was left with a flat computer and no access to my photos or blog ☹.
I am hopefully back on track and have for you today my ARTastic DT work. This month is inspired by the beautiful painting by R. Godfrey Rivers,
the criteria this month is to use a photo over 30 years old or use a vintage layout.

I made a canvas using an olden day image and created a vintage layout,
For my canvas I have used lots of scrap paper and rub ons. For embellishments I have used a paper doily, paper flowers and wooden hearts. I couldn't do this vintage canvas without using pearls ☺.

Sorry again for disappearing for a while ☺ but all being well, I'll be back soon with another page I'm doing.
Happy scrapping
