Enjoy today

Hello,
Today I have a page to share with you using the wonderful sketch challenge from Sketchabilities.
How I have used the sketch; using a recent photo of my youngest,
I like the simplicity of the page I created using a few new goodies I purchased ☺. Cute little photo frame, ribbon flowers and a new misting stencil.

My embellishment cluster for the top of my page.

I haven't been much on the blog this month, but my girls are keeping me busy, needing help as they have found the fun of misting. The flu bug is taking us down one by one so there's no rest here as a mum. Today they were all back at school and the house was quiet again ☺.

Take care and happy scrapping.

Family

Hello,
I have been missing this month because I have been very busy with my other craft love of sewing. I actually had another page completed but didn't get it linked up in time so I'll save that one to show you later. Instead I have this page done for the challenge at Off the Rails which had this great mood board.

And my page using a family photo we had taken just a couple of weeks ago, on a day out.

I have used a Webster page for my background paper. This page was perfect for the colours of this mood board. I have picked up the orange and red for my main colours to back my photo.

I wanted to create a bit of 3D on my page so I have used some paper flowers on top of the flowers printed on the paper. I also used a paper flower which my girls had fun making at a friend's house.

I have had a number of days feeling very flat with no energy, but hopefully I will get over it soon as there are some very nice challenges this month, that I would love to join in with☺.

Bonfire night

Hello June☺, a month to mark the start of Winter, here in Australia, and the month which brings us to the end of the first half of the year.
And a month of new scrapbooking fun☺.

My first page is my DT page for ARTastic, which uses a fun inspiration piece this month.
The criteria to go with this challenge is wood veneer and/or birds.

For my inspiration I went with the main colour of Aqua, like the bird along with pops of orange inspired from the bird's beak. The paper is from Kaiser Craft, background papers.

This beautiful flower was made by a friend. I used rub ons to add some words to my tag.

My wooden flower for the criteria and a homemade flower from a die cut. I have my cuttlebug set up all the time lately and I'm using it a lot more.

My cute little wooden butterfly and bird button, to add to the criteria.

Can't wait to get to some of the month's challenges and a big thank you for all the lovely comments last month on my pages. I had a good month scrapbooking but the comments I received added so much more. Thank you.

My baby

Hello again☺

Today I am squeezing in one more page for the month, this one for the challenge at 123 Challenge Blog. The technique was buntings so I had to play along! Along with the colour Beige and the word Baby, I came up with this page,

I did my background stamping in Beige. I haven't actually done background stamping for a long time and it was good to get the stamps back out. I have done most of my embellishments in Beige and add a few in coral and blue for a bit of colour. Little Miss is my youngest and being the youngest of the family myself I know this saying will ring true☺

I came across this idea of a bunting in a book and loved it. I cut circles out of an old book and misted them. Then, once they were dry put them around twine, sponged them with ink and glittered each circle edge. I love the effect.

I have had lots of fun this month, completing lots of challenges and can't wait to see what next month challenges are. I think it's the only good thing of the months going by so quickly☺.

I will be back the beginning of the month with my DT page for ARTastic, a fun challenge next month.

Be yourself

Hello,

I've done this page for the mood board at the challenge blog, Scrap Africa.

My girl just loves any accessory and will wear them with style. She is never embarrassed and will actually wear anything to humour others. These photos are from when she was younger but she hasn't changed.
I've gone with the florals on florals and the sequins to add a bit of sparkle.

A close up of the cute camera die cut I just purchased, perfect to go with this page☺

I'm hoping to complete one more page for the month but will have to see how my days pan out otherwise I look forward to next month with new challenges. I love the first of the month for this reason, it's always exciting to see what is up for the month.

Little Sunshine

I'm enjoying lots of quiet time at home and with it comes scrapbookingtime ☺. Today I have a page to share with you for the challenge at Sketchabilities. I don't know why I haven't joined in their challenges before but this month won't be the last! I loved working with this sketch.
Their sketch

and my page,
The papers are from one of my favourite lines, Simple Stories-Vintage Bliss. I am hanging onto the last papers I have. They are fun to layer and have such cute sayings.

A close up of my top cluster

I just bought this new love heart die cut from Kaiser craft, it comes with a love one too and I'm sure you'll see them more on my pages☺. The butterfly is fussy cut from one of the background papers.

Now to find my next inspiration......

Be Kind

I definitely have my scrapbooking vibe back this month☺,
Today I have a page for the challenge at Off the Rails which was to create a page using this mood board,
I love these colours and the quote inspired to create a page about myself, something I don't do very quickly.

So for my page,
I have kept the background plain and centred my page around the photo. The title, Enjoy the Journey, is for me personally, to enjoy the journey I'm on as Wife, Mother and Child of God. I can often be hard on myself in these tasks. I have placed a Kaiser Craft rub on quote onto my photo. This was a good page to use up some of my scraps of paper which are always in abundance.

I have a few challenges I want to join in still this month so I'm sure you'll see me back soon☺
