Laugh

Hello there,

Today I did a page for Let's Get Sketchy using their sketch and learning to use triangles in my work.

I had fun with this sketch and came up with this page,
A fun photo from our family photo shoot. I thought the triangles would give it the perfect playful feel and I'm happy how it all turned out. I didn't distress the edges of my triangles so that they would blend and be part of the background. The paper range I used was Amy Tangerine-Rise and Shine, one of my favourite papers.
I can't seem to complete a page without a flower cluster☺︎. I kept this one small and simple to go with the clean, fresh feel I wanted to create.

Thank you for popping by.

A moment in Time

Hello,

I have a page today for the mood board challenge at Scrap the Boys which I found to be fun colours for a boy's page.

I happened to be going through old photos looking to see if there were any I had missed and come across this gorgeous one of my boy many years younger☺︎. It's always special coming across old photos.

I like making my boy pages in a bit of a grungy style so lots of background stamping and this page also has close up misting with texture paint circles. Arrows and circles are great for a boy. The papers for this page I received in a prize kit and fitted perfectly with the mood board.

Close up of my background I created. Most of the background stamps I used are from Kaiser craft.  The enamel circles were part of the paper kit I used.

Thanks for popping past.

My Girl

Hello,
I am a little bit late this month as time got away with me and I spent a camping weekend with family, but here is my DT page for ARTastic this month using this fun painting as inspiration.

Criteria along with this inspiration is to use wood veneer

My main background paper is from Kaisercraft which I've bordered with plain dark brown. My wood veneer is the banner across the top which I have stamped with a script stamp. I have used the colours from the painting and of course I had to add an owl in☺︎

I have also used a wooden veneer flower in my cluster. The words I have used are from a background stamp which I then fussy cut the words.

We are enjoying the many entrants that are joining in with our challenges, feel welcome to join in as well, we would love to see your take on the challenge.

Summer

Hello,
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Today I have 2 pages to share with you☺︎.

The first one is for the beach mood board challenge at Kaisercraft.

This challenge came at a perfect time for us in Western Australia as we are nearly at the end of our summer.
Here is my page using the Sandy Toes collection:
Water paint with gesso stencil on top for my background and then layering of the different papers in this great beach collection.

I love the different banners and elements in the collection. Makes putting a page that much simpler☺︎.

I have also used some of this range for my page using the mood board for the challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbook Challenge

I found this beautiful gloss background page and couldn't resist buying it for this challenge☺︎. The dark brown paper is from a different brand but the shell paper is from Kaisercraft.

The shells from the collectables are great to use in clusters. I have added real shells from the beach and a flower, all placed on a strip of Muslin.

I have had a very productive scrapbooking month and look forward to seeing next month's challenges.

Lots of Hearts

I am back today with another page for you,

We went to a beautiful gift shop in the small town of Bridgetown, an hour and a half drive down the road. Gazebos, rooms and gardens full of giftware, clothing and home wares. It was just amazing. Amy loved the small veranda which was full of gifts out of hearts. It happened to be my favourite section as well☺︎.

I did my page for the challenge at Lessology which was to use tassels.

I bought a new collection, Kaiser Craft-Kaleidoscope. I love the deep colours in this collection. I usually water paint straight onto my page but this time I used gesso first which made the watercolour stay brighter.

My home made tassels using twine and I have used a doily for my upcycled item.

I have a couple more pages I just need to add some finishing touches to, and I'll come back and share them with you☺︎.

Thanks for popping by.

Sweet girls

Hello,

Today I had a fun scrapbooking day with my friend and got lots done. I found this delightful mood board at the challenge at D-lish Scraps, and knew I had to join in.

Here is my page using a photo of my very photogenic youngest girl,
For the background I did gesso paint with a stencil and then misted using a different stencil. After I had misted the top right side and down the bottom of my photo, I turned the stencil upside down and pressed down on the left side of the photo using the extra ink to create the reverse effect.

Lots of hearts made using a die cut and a gold foil alpha for my title. I couldn't resist buying the cute little love hearts made from rhinestones.

I don't often go without a cluster on my page ☺︎

Thank you D-lish for a beautiful challenge and thank you for popping past. I will be back over the next couple of days to share the rest of my pages ☺︎

It's a lovely day

Hello,

I hope February is living up to it's name of, the month of love, for you☺︎. The challenge at 123 challenge blog is certainly fitting in well this month with this challenge,

I have created a page for this challenge centring around the love of the family,

First misting, background stamping and texture paint to create my background. As soon as I saw the challenge, I thought of my chipboard love heart 'sprig' and wanted to use it for this page. I love using sprigs and things to add to clusters.

My little wooden love hearts and I even found alphas with love hearts☺︎. The diamonds are misted and I inked the chevron. I like the effect they have together.

It's been a while since I joined in with 123, but I enjoyed taking up their challenge again.

Thanks for popping by and till next time, happy scrapping
