A true Friend

The holidays are over and Ella and I are enjoying the peace and quiet again. We just have to get use to the early mornings again. They are tough in winter ☹.
I have done another LO(yay), this one for Once Upon a Sketch; the theme is friend.
Amy has an amazing friendship with our cousin's son. They both have strong characters but when it comes to the two of them, they are unbelievable. We have never heard an argument between them and they will stick up for each other against anyone. It is truly a special friendship.

 The background paper is from Bo-Bunny, calypso love.  Then I have used a range of papers to create the background for my photo along with a pleated ribbon and twine.

 A beautiful delicate doily I found in an op shop. I have made a felt flower paper clip and added a stamped flower and some paper flowers for a small cluster.

Journalling tag, it's hard to describe how deep their friendship is, but hopefully it will stay like this forever and they will never forget each other. I have topped my Tim Holtz flower with a crochet circle and a button.

I missed out doing the challenge over at Artastic last month, but I couldn't let this month's challenge slip, it looked like so much fun. Here is the painting,

and the criteria is bright.

There is no brighter day then one spent at the beach and no brighter paper then from Echo Park- Summer days. My circle background paper is Echo Park - Pinwheels, reverse side.

Some muslin with fun buttons and the buntings are from the Summer Days range. I inked the edges and folded some of the points up to create some dimension.

A close up of some of the cute papers. For my title I have used the chipboard word Discover from Stuff2Scrap and covered it with one of the papers.

I still have the two girls visiting and it's so nice having company while crafting. My children join in during the day keeping me more busy helping then my own projects, but the nights are just me and the girls. I will need to catch up on some sleep when they have gone though ☺. 

Jump

I'm enjoying my niece and her friend over for school holidays, and we have been having late nights of crocheting and scrapping. Always fun with company.
I joined in with Sketches with a Twist this month with a fun sketch and the extra twist of doodling on your LO.

 I have done a LO on Ella trying out her trampoline for the first time. There was no stopping her. I first glimmer misted the background and added layers of doilies for my circle embellishments. I saw this in a scrapbook magazine and have been wanting to try it. I've done doodling for a border around my LO and also with my stitching. I've handwritten my journalling with 'rough' lines to tie with the look of the page.

 I have used a brad, fabric covered button, normal button and a rub on flower with my bunting.

Using a tag I've added my title.

I have the girls over for a few more days, so I should be back with some more craftiness ☺.

The Lollipop Ladies challenge #49

Good morning,
Time for another challenge at The Lollipop Ladies. One of my favourite sweets, Fantales, with the additional criteria of text.
Here is my LO,

Don't the kids grow up fast? My youngest, Ella, likes to pretend to play the computer(she can play one game), and loves to play on my iphone. I have added text by using an old book page for a background paper. I have used the fantale colours for my embellishments.

My tags and for my journalling, I computer journal with a border and then ink the edges.

My Daddy

Ella, my youngest is such a Daddy's girl, when he is around no-one else is allowed to help her. I'm not complaining when she wakes up during the night and only wants Dad :).
I scrapped these cute photos of the two of them at the park for a challenge at My Creative Sketches. I haven't joined in this challenge blog before but loved the sketch.

This is a simple, clean LO for me and I like it just as much. I wanted the photos to standout. 

I did my journalling on the computer and inked it. My title is American thickers - chipboard letters. I have also inked my circle and machine stitched around it.

These cute trees are from the Kaisercraft- tiny woods collection. The paper-forest, has lots of trees and mushrooms to fussy cut. I love paper that can be used a lot. I have also added some wooden butterfly buttons.

Pink, white and black

The challenge over at Scrap the Girls is a fun one this month. It's to use black and white and one other colour. I was going to steer away from pink but it just didn't work out that way, because where there is pink, white and black, there is Ella, my youngest, with her zebra called Zebby.

I have used BoBunny-Olivia baby's breath paper for my background. I distressed it and backed it on a white scrapbook page. The pink papers are from a paper pad from Deja Views, the perfect pink. I also distressed and inked these papers. I used a doily, paper flowers, a black lace love heart and buttons for my embellishments. I was going to add a title but to me the photo was a title in itself so I did a bit of journalling on the computer to finish it off.

It is school holidays here and we are having a good first day, the kids are enjoying activities around the house which makes it nice and homely.

Flowers

Wow, I'm here with a LO and it's only the first week in the month. I'm enjoying a relaxing week at home before my kids are home for 2 weeks for school holidays. It's always that bit busier in the holidays.

I have done a LO for the Let's Get Shabby who are celebrating their 3rd birthday and the challenge was to choose one of their old challenges. I chose challenge 28. If only I could have such a beautiful dining room.

And my LO is of my very caring daughter, Amy, who loves to give to people. She is always making cards for everyone and here she is picking flowers for me. I love her so much.

I have painted the background paper with gesso and then glimmer misted it. I have used a range of paper which I distressed, inked or punched.

A range of flowers I used, some 3D stickers, some paper flowers and my homemade crochet flower with a crochet trim I made using coloured cotton. My title is American craft, fabric alphabet. And added in is cute butterfly button from MME.

It's absolutely beautiful weather here; hopefully it will stay that way for the holidays and I can take my kids out.
