It's a lovely day

Hello,

I hope February is living up to it's name of, the month of love, for you☺︎. The challenge at 123 challenge blog is certainly fitting in well this month with this challenge,

I have created a page for this challenge centring around the love of the family,

First misting, background stamping and texture paint to create my background. As soon as I saw the challenge, I thought of my chipboard love heart 'sprig' and wanted to use it for this page. I love using sprigs and things to add to clusters.

My little wooden love hearts and I even found alphas with love hearts☺︎. The diamonds are misted and I inked the chevron. I like the effect they have together.

It's been a while since I joined in with 123, but I enjoyed taking up their challenge again.

Thanks for popping by and till next time, happy scrapping

Enjoy Life

Hello,
As promised I am back with another page for this month, this one for the challenge at White with One.

The colour this month is yummy chocolate☺︎,
I have spray inked my background and added drops of ink along with it. Lots of background papers for this layout.

A close up of my cluster with doilies, twine and flowers. I have been waiting to use the flower sprig for a long time, well actually maybe hoarding it for the perfect page☺︎.

I hope you are enjoying your February and are getting lots of time for crafting.
Take care.

Sparkle

Hello,

I'm back already with a page for Scrap the Girls, thanks to a crafting day with my niece☺︎.

I love, love the mood board provided for inspiration;
My page for this challenge is one of my eldest daughter who is growing up into a young lady,
I had just bought my background paper so it was perfect timing☺︎.  It took me a bit to get the page together as I'm not one to use a full background page often, but with some extra paper, butterflies and of course flowers, I'm happy with how it turned out. The cute little envelope, I found at our local discount store. I used a love heart die cut with gold glitter paper to place in the envelope.

I am finishing off another page of my eldest, so I will post that one shortly.

Thanks for popping by☺︎.

Sisters

February is here along with all new scrapbooking challenges.
ARTastic challenge blog has one with the criteria of using paint/painting on your page along with this inspiration piece.

For my DT page I used watercolour (my favourite at the moment) behind my photo.
I loved all the colours swirled together in the inspiration piece and I have used this to add different colours to my page. I defined the colours behind my photos with black paint. For my title, I used gesso over the chipboard and then water painted it green.

For me, February started with the children going back to school and with a niece over to visit making for quiet but crafty days ☺︎.

Moments to Treasure

Hello,

I had lots of fun creating a page for the Let's Get Sketchy challenge with this sketch,

My background was created with modelling paste, mist and watercolour, along with background stamping. I drew in my circle elements. My photos I backed with different papers and tags.

I couldn't resist adding some crochet flowers to match my daughter's crocheted headband. I love using my other crafts to embellish my pages and in this way show my children a bit of me through out their albums.

I'm enjoying the start of this year, enjoying the kid's holidays and some relaxing time together at home. I hope your start to 2016 is enjoyable as well.
Till next time, happy crafting.

Little Miss

Hello,

I've been enjoying a week of relaxation with the kids. It's been very hot and so it has been a lot of time spent indoors; so time for scrapbooking☺︎.
I've done this page for Scrap The Girls, which is a free page this month. There is this sketch provided for anyone that would like some guidance.

I have roughly used the sketch for my page,
Lots of misting, texture paint and background stamping for my background using the colours of my daughter's dress. I have made paper clouds to add for my embellishments along with a fabric button and flowers.

Close up of some of the elements of my page.

Thank you for popping by.

Life Experiences

Hello and welcome to 2016. I'm happy to be back on the team for ARTastic this year and I'm looking forward to providing some inspiration for our challenges☺︎.
So to start off we have a beach painting for inspiration because in Australia, Summer means beach days for many people.
For your page we would love to see what Summer means to you.

Living in a small coastal town in Western Australia, we spend a lot of time at the beach. We have swimming beaches a walk up the road and surf beaches and coastal rocks to explore just a 20min drive away.
The page I created is made using a photo of my girls busy rock climbing and loving the outdoors.
I watercolored my background and used texture paint to create my triangles. I then traced with the same triangle stencil.

A little flower cluster and some fibres to embellish my page.

This cluster I created using doilies, wooden button, clothing tag and a tag made by stamping on a shipping tag.

I look forward to another year of scrapbooking myself and being inspired by other scrapbookers this year☺︎.
